Kalkan car hire is available round the clock and we would be happy to arrange it all for you.
Driving licence and age
Drivers must be a minimum age of 21 years old and produce a full, valid British or EU driving licence held for at least 1 year. It is the driver's responsibility to ensure that he/she has the appropriate driving licence. Please note that if you have a new photo card driving licence you will need to take the paper counterpart with you, faxed or photocopied licences are not acceptable.
Unlimited mileage
The rental price includes unlimited mileage for the period of hire. Minimum rental period is 24 hours.
Long term rentals
Reduced rates are available for rental periods longer than 30 days. Please contact us for further details.
What is included
Unlimited milage, full insurance (includes cover for damage to windscreens, tyres and lights) and all local taxes are included in our Kalkan car hire rates.
What is excluded
Fuel is excluded from the Kalkan car hire rates.
Additional drivers
A second driver can be added at no additional cost. Please advise at the time of booking. A full UK or EU driving licence is required for each driver.
Delivery and Collection.
Vehicles can be collected from and returned to; either Dalaman or Antalya airport. This is a 24 hour service and is available at no extra charge provided the car hire period is a minimum of 7 days. Vehicles can also be delivered to and collected from your rental accommodation in Kalkan.
Delayed Return
Rental periods are calculated on a 24 hour basis. If the vehicle is returned after the agreed return time, 1/3 of the daily rental rate is charged for every excess hour. If the delay exceeds 3 hours, the full day rental rate is charged.
Payment
Full payment is required at the time of booking.
Traffic Fines
Legal responsibilities resulting from traffic violations incurred during the rental period are charged to the renter. The speed limit is 50km (30 miles) per hour in built up areas and rises to 90km (56 miles) per hour on motorways and open roads. Speeding drivers will be fined on the spot. If you are fined you will be issued with a ticket, this should be taken to the car hire company along with your payment.
Child Seats
Car seats are available by request for babies and young children at no extra charge. Please specify the ages of any children so we can arrange for an age appropriate child seat to be supplied.
Number of passengers
Our Kalkan rental cars are insured for a maximum number of passengers. We cannot accept responsibility if the vehicle is not large enough to fit all passengers and luggage on arrival if details were not supplied at the time of booking. In the interest of safety this number must not be exceeded and if exceeded the insurance will be invalidated.
Car Type/Suitability
A particular make, model or fuel type of car cannot be guaranteed. The pictures shown above are for guidance only and may be substituted for an alternative, similar or upgraded car (at no extra cost).
Kalkan Car Hire, Legal Requirements:
If you are unfortunate enough to have an accident, or if your car is damaged in any way, it is necessary to call the Police to the scene before moving the vehicle as the insurance is void without a Police report. You must also contact our local car rental partner immediately, and take a photograph (if possible), before doing anything else.
You will need to carry your passport and drivers' licence along with the vehicle documentation and licence (normally found in the glove compartment or drivers visor). The Jandarma (Traffic Police) stop cars as a matter of routine and if you are stopped, you will be expected to produce this documentation.
If you are dissatisfied in any way with the standard of your booked car, you must advise our local car rental partner immediately and The Turquoise Collection in writing within 28 days of your return.
