Göcek (geuh-jek) is the Turkish Mediterranean's high-end yacht spot. The Taurus mountains wrap around an attractive bay in which the town extends to the waterfront and offers an upmarket vibe and some excellent eating, drinking and shopping choices. In a wonderful location on the canal front Villa Eden accommodates up to 5 guests in considerable style and comfort.

For those that like yachts in their sea view, several marinas line the bay which along with some lovely landscaping create a very nice environment indeed. To the left of the bay, Portville is in our opinion the "jewel in the crown" of Gocek's holiday villa offer and represents some of the most expensive real estate in the Turkish Mediterranean. Linked by a salt water canal system with direct access to the sea, most properties here are waterfront. Turquoise Collection guests at Portville enjoy beach club access to the sublime D-Resort beach and all associated facilities at very significantly reduced cost. A wide choice of restaurants, some great shopping and the beach club are within 5 minutes walk along the harbour front. Complimentary use of the Club Nen swimming pool, a 7 minute walk away is provided for Portville guests.

Ground floor:

Cool stone flooring throughout the ground floor is a good choice for the Mediterranean climate, and an attractive feature of the property in our opinion. An elegant hallway with sight line through the living area to the water has a storage cupboard to the left and a cloakroom and the kitchen off the hallway to the right. A spacious and beautifully furnished open plan living and dining area have access to a furnished dining terrace and the canal side and is flooded with natural light on account of the glass doors and windows to two aspects of the space.

First Floor:

There are two doubles with water view balconies and one single bedroom on this floor. The master is a particularly attractive room having been comfortably furnished with considerable style. A very good-sized furnished balcony has lovely water views. Wooden flooring has been used on this level and the hallway offers more storage.

Outside:

The terrace and garden provide plenty of space for sunbathing, alfresco dining or just relaxing, where you seek a shady spot or full sunshine. The garden fronts the canal side.

"I had the pleasure to visit Villa Eden in October 2019, in my opinion this villa is ideal for couples looking to be centrally located and within easy walking distance to the main amenities of the old town. I absolutely loved sitting out on the terrace enjoying a glass of wine watching the boats return to harbour just as the sun started setting behind the mountains. As there are 20 steps up from the street level to the villa's main entrance, it would not suit those with reduced mobility."
