Relaxing in Kas

Holidays are about leaving your cares behind, some indulgence, of course, new experiences and the opportunity to unwind and relax completely. Kas offers all sorts of opportunities to do just that.

Here are some suggestions:

1.)   Book a Spa treatment at the beautiful Peninsula Gardens hotel on the Kas Peninsula.

Choose from a wide range of treatments, and enjoy being pampered in beautiful surroundings.

2.)   Give yourself plenty of time to wander around the narrow streets and harbour side, and discover the pretty old town and the interesting little shops, where everything from spices to surf wear are for sale. Stop and relax at Café Mola in republic square with a glass of delicious home-made lemonade.

3.)   Head to Greece on the Meis ferry that leaves from the harbour. The journey takes only 20 minutes or so, and offers lovely views back to the Turkish coastline, and coming into Meis harbour. Find a café on the Meis waterfront, and have a long lazy lunch of fresh calamari, washed down with some with some Ouzo.  The ferry runs every day from May to October, departing at 10.00am and returning at 16.00.

4.)   Pack your beach towl, find a dolmus and head for Kaputas beach for a day sunbathing and swimming in the aquamarine sea Kaputas is famous for. The beach has sunbeds, and umbrellas, and also a café offering light snacks. The journey by Dolmus takes around 20 minutes and is inexpensive.

5.)   Join a "lazy day at sea" on a Traditional Turkish gulet. Explore local bays, snorkel, swim, and enjoy a very long lazy lunch on board. Trips runs from Kas harbour departing at around 10.30am and returning at 5pm. Head for the harbour to see the various boats, their itineraries and prices.
