Alkhozama, meaning Lavender in Arabic, is an opulent two bedroom villa set within the grounds of a luxury private estate in the exclusive area of Palmeraie, where bijou properties are hard to come by. The villa is a fine example of time-honoured craftsmanship using traditional materials, and is nestled within a lush garden of pines, palms and pomegranate trees. The estate is located in the sought after district of Palmeraie, just a 15 minute drive from the wonder and excitement of Marrakech’s Medina and souks, and 12km from Menara airport. Stays at Alkhozama include all spa treatments, food and soft drinks as well as a return Marrakech airport transfer.

Villa Alkhozama
This villa is situated within a private estate amongst 20,000 square metres of landscaped garden along with Villa Ezzahra & Villa Azzaytouna (both can be booked separately as well as in conjunction with Alkhozama). The property has air-conditioning throughout, as well as central heating when required.

Staff and Services
The estate comes fully staffed. The experienced cooks prepare a daily menu of delicious, seasonal Moroccan dishes alongside lighter European options and an enticing children's menu. The team of staff is headed up by estate manager Maria, who has been at Ezzahra Estate for over ten years. She is on hand to organise activities and excursions, including tours of the Medina, shopping trips, horse riding, yoga lessons and visits to the Atlas Mountains.

The price includes sole use in exclusivity and all facilities offered at the house, unlimited Spa treatments, all food selected from our a la carte menus, all soft drinks, laundry service, a guided and accompanied tour to the Medina, swimming pool heating as required and one return airport transfer irrespective of numbers.

Inside the villa
Ground Floor: The ground floor offers a large living area for all to relax in. The focal point of this space is the traditional clay fireplace with its Moorish tiled surround with a backdrop of the exposed 'bejmat' brick wall. The earthy colours of Morocco abound and continue into the traditional Berber textiles and ceramics of the decor. Comfortable sofas are arranged to enjoy the warmth of the fire on those cool desert evenings. There is a further seating area in a sunny corner of the room where views of the lush garden can be enjoyed with a cup of mint tea in hand. This area of the lounge also features a large Zellij - traditional tiling of a geometric design commonly found in Islamic architecture. The dining room, with its domed ceiling and formidable vintage candelabra, is an exceptional space for bringing the party together over a Moroccan feast. Patio doors lead out to a covered outdoor seating area. On this floor you will also find a separate kitchen and a cloakroom. Steps down to lower ground floors.

Lower Ground Floor: Both of the en-suite bedrooms are located on this floor where the traditional Moroccan aesthetic continues in the textiles, carved wooden furniture and artwork. Bedroom 1 - The master en-suite bedroom is decorated in neutral tones and features a stone headboard with keyhole arches, an over-stuffed Ottoman and rattan seating. Sliding doors lead out to the terrace where you will find a pool with classic Moroccan tiling, delicately carved wooden furniture, and a luxurious daybed for some first-class relaxation. There is a large parasol on the terrace for when sanctuary from the desert sun is required. Bedroom 2 - The second en-suite bedroom features rich red textiles, a magnificent carved wooden headboard, an over-stuffed Ottoman, and a large brass lantern. The room opens onto a small terrace with comfortable seating and a water feature.

Outside the villa
The lush garden that surrounds the villa features olive, orange and pomegranate trees, as well as shady pines and colossal palms. Alkhozama's namesake shrub is in abundance here, subtly fragrancing the air, making it the perfect spot for relaxing on the comfortable wooden sun loungers. There is a spacious terrace shaded by a Berber style canopy adjoining the property. Here you will find an area peppered with brass lanterns and Moorish textiles, a decorative arabesque birdcage, and a comfortable seating for all to enjoy. There is also an al-fresco dining space for morning coffee or lazy lunches. The property benefits from an inviting pool (approx. 12m in length) featuring a delicate tiled design and a cascading waterfall feature. This is located on the lower ground floor terrace which can be accessed from the master bedroom, or stone steps from the garden. There is also a large daybed; perfect for unwinding, or enjoying a spa treatment.

Guests of Villa Alkhozama can enjoy some healthy competition in the estate's communal paddle tennis court or the estate's communal 350-metre running/jogging/walking track.

Spa, Hammam & Gymnasium
Villa Alkhozama, along with Villa Azzaytouna share one spa area and Hammam. The spa menu offers a range of beauty treatments using Dermalogica products and Moroccan argan oil. These include massages, facials, manicures, pedicures and wet shaving for men. All treatments are included in the price and can be taken in the spa, in your room or by the pool. Villa Alkhzama & Villa Azzaytouna now share a gymnasium facility which was new for 2025.

Villa Alkhozama is located within a private estate in the Palmeraie area of Marrakech, approximately 15 minutes' drive from the historic Medina and the city centre.
