We visited as a group of 7, myself, my husband, two children (10 & 6), my parents and mother in law. We have stayed in Kalkan villas 5 times and this was an our favourite villa yet. The photos do not do it justice, the pool and views are amazing and best views we have had as the only obstruction was covered with bushes. Gave fantastic views in the pool and photo opportunities. The balcony areas were great but we did not use them too much as so hot in August. We liked that all bedrooms were equally beautiful and suitable for adults or children. The only reason for 4 stars internet is because it was hard to get for the top floor bedroom. It worked great round the pool though. We were really pleased with the greeting from Seref showing us around the villa and the wonderful food welcome basket was so kind and useful. We have never had a greeting like it. We were also astounded at the amount of items left for us to use such as coffee, laundry detergents, toilet rolls, kitchen roll, hand wash, fairy liquid, dishwasher tablets, tin foil etc. it really made a lot of difference not having to buy all of this in. There was a wonderful book and dvd collection with a few games to play as well. There were also lots of towels that we could use round the pool so wouldn't bring them next time. We ate breakfast and lunch at the villa and all of the amenities were great, Inc microwave and toaster. We regularly washed our clothes there and the guide was very useful. I struggle to come up with a negative for the villa, but if I had to it would just be the air con as it is motion sensitive in some rooms so it isn't left on when not in use. The problem is when you want it on overnight and are asleep it would turn itself off and wake up hot. Also you had to leave the patio door open when at the pool area as there is not a handle on the outside (I assume due to security) but it meant you couldn't keep the door shut and cool inside. Outside you had a lovely sitting area, sun beds and loungers and although apartments next door you didn't feel overlooked. There is a wonderful hotel (Mediteran) 2 mins walk away that you can visit for drinks/food and a taxi into town was 220lira. We went to Kalkan beach club and that was 350lira. There was a handy guide of other trips left by the owner in the villa. Overall we had the best holiday at Villa Yasemin and we have all said that when we return to Kalkan we want to come back to Villa Yasemin.
The villa was lovely. Really nice size, layout & decor. The outdoor lighting wasn't great (for playing cards) & would have preferred summer duvets (the bed cover was more like a bed spread). Water flagons, beach towels, books, games & the welcome pack were excellent.
The accommodation was very clean and in a great location for great views over Kalkan. The villa was well equipped with everything we could possibly need, from chilled water tanks, to an extensive range of crockery, cleaning items and linen. The villa was very spacious and we certainly didn't feel we were living in each others pockets, with being two separate families. The villa/pool/gardens are maintained to a high standard.
The cleanliness of the pool and the property were excellent. The utilities available was everything you needed.
This is a cool, spacious, and modern villa - very well laid out
and equipped.
There's a heart stoppingly fantastic view down to Kalkan, across
the bay and to the sea beyond, to gaze on as you sit or sunbathe by
the pool. You can walk down to the lively bars shops and
restaurants of the town although not everyone will want to come
back up the hill on foot: but taxis are plentiful and cheap. On the
other hand, just a hundred yards away on the same level there's a
restaurant/bar with terraces and which also takes full advantage of
the view, and which we much enjoyed.
Lots to explore in the area, including famous classical
ruins if of interest, and also the fabulous Patara beach. Then
there's just lazing about. We did. Highly recommended.
With breathtaking views over Kalkan Marina and beyond the
Villa Yasemin is
the ideal place to stay.
A really lovely villa with all the creature comforts you
need to make a very relaxing holiday.
The infinity pool and spacious terrace with loungers and
umbrellas add to the outside ambience.
We had a great holiday and are returning in
September.
Villa Yasemin is a well appointed, very comfortable family villa with plenty of mod cons including air conditioning, washing machine and dishwasher. An inviting infinity pool and spacious terrace overlooks Kalkan marina and out to mouse and snake island. The view is breathtaking. An easy stroll down to town to enjoy a delicious meal from the wide array of restaurants in vibrant Kalkan, is a little more challenging on the way back up - or take one of the many bright yellow taxis back up the hill. A very relaxing stay with our teen boys.
