Boutique hotel near Kalkan Old Town

Casa Pery is a small, design-conscious hotel set into the hillside above Kalkan Old Town. Created for guests aged 16 and over, it brings together panoramic views across Kalkan Bay, individually styled rooms, layered outdoor terraces and a contemporary approach to wellbeing.

Beyond its carved wooden entrance, the hotel opens onto a whitewashed courtyard centred around an established olive tree. A built-in corner seat overlooks the bay, offering an early glimpse of the sea views that accompany much of the property. From here, Casa Pery extends across the slope through a series of stone steps, terraces, sun decks and quieter corners.

The interiors combine warm stone, pale walls, natural fabrics, woven textures, rattan furniture and handcrafted details. The overall feel is contemporary and tactile, with an informal Mediterranean character that sits comfortably within its Kalkan setting.

Casa Pery is owned by Ahmet and managed alongside his son Ozan, hotel manager Cem and their team. Despite its considered design, the atmosphere remains personal and relaxed, allowing guests to shape their stay around the pool, the wellness programme, leisurely meals or time spent exploring Kalkan.

Each of Casa Pery's 17 rooms has its own layout and character. Some look directly across Kalkan Bay, while others offer a more sheltered and enclosed setting within the hotel's hillside arrangement.

The collection includes a Jacuzzi Room and a Pool Suite with its own private swimming pool. Across the hotel, the rooms continue the same natural design language found throughout the communal spaces, with textured materials, restful tones and carefully selected furnishings.

Wellbeing forms part of the experience at Casa Pery and through its partnership with Istanbul-based ARCH, the hotel has a dedicated studio hosting activities such as Power Yoga, Barre, Hot Pilates, ceramics, matcha preparation and restorative sessions. The programme is designed to be approached flexibly, whether guests choose to join several sessions or spend their time entirely at leisure.

Breakfast is served à la carte, with three different menus. Anatolian Sunrise is based around a Turkish breakfast, including regional cheeses, olives, preserves, breads, seasonal fruit, eggs, sucuk and rösti potatoes. Albion includes bacon, sausage, black pudding, mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, rösti potatoes, breads and croissants. The Balance offers a lighter selection of Greek yoghurt, granola, fruit, chia seeds, honey, avocado on toast, seasonal vegetables, nuts and detox water.

The daytime menu includes menemen, omelettes, salads, pasta, paninis, burgers, halloumi stacks and chicken goujons. Dinner is kept intentionally compact, with choices such as steak, salmon, Turkish mixed grill and a vegetable main course. Desserts may include lemon cheesecake, brownie with ice cream, and carrot and cinnamon cake.

Fresh juices, smoothies, iced coffees and cocktails are available, alongside a broad wine list.

Casa Pery's outdoor areas are arranged at different levels across the hillside. Several sun terraces and bathing areas are positioned between the rooms and communal spaces, creating a mixture of open viewpoints and more secluded places to sit.

There are two principal swimming pools, a smaller plunge pool and a private pool belonging to the Pool Suite. One of the communal pools has a pebble finish, giving the water a more natural, textured appearance.

Fringed parasols, striped sun loungers, rattan seating and uninterrupted views across the bay shape the poolside setting. The terraces provide plenty of space for reading, relaxing with a coffee or juice, or staying for a drink as the light changes over Kalkan.

Casa Pery sits on the hillside at the edge of Kalkan Old Town, giving it a quieter position without placing the town's restaurants, shops and waterfront out of reach.

Süleyman Yılmaz Caddesi, one of the main streets running through the old town, can be reached in approximately five minutes on foot. From here, guests have easy access to Kalkan's rooftop restaurants, bars, boutiques, harbour and surrounding streets.

Kalkan Public Beach is only a seven-minute walk downhill from the hotel. The return journey is uphill.
