The Architect’s House was definitely built to impress; the way the sleek and contemporary design connects with the Mediterranean views is nothing short of spectacular. The vast open plan living area opens onto a spacious terrace where you can enjoy breakfast by the private infinity pool or pre-dinner drinks before the trip into Kalkan’s old town to indulge in some delicious Turkish cuisine and low key night life.
Indoor space
The generous accommodation is spread over 4 floors with ever more amazing views from each successive increase in height. The stylish interiors have been elegantly furnished and the accommodation is laid out as follows:
Ground floor: The ground floor consists of spacious and contemporary open-plan living. The living area has plenty of comfortable seating, Sky TV a DVD player plus an iPod docking station. Floor to ceiling glass windows and doors flood light into the property and maximise the views. The sleek well-equipped kitchen features granite work surfaces, full oven, hob, microwave, large fridge-freezer, Nespresso coffee machine and dishwasher. A separate utility room houses a washing machine, tumble-drier, iron, ironing board and WC. Doors from the living area lead out onto the villa's spacious pool terrace from which to enjoy panoramic Mediterranean views.
First floor: Bedroom 1 - The first floor houses the master bedroom with super king size bed and private sea view balcony. The en-suite facilities include a Jacuzzi bath and shower. A mezzanine gallery area incorporates a study and has a beautiful outlook over the living room below and beyond to the Mediterranean.
Second floor: Bedroom 2 & 3 - On the second floor are 2 double bedrooms, one with a king size bed and one with a super king size bed, and both feature a large sea view balcony and en-suite facilities, one has a shower room and the other has a bath and shower.
Third floor: Bedroom 4 - The spacious twin bedroom on the 3rd floor has access to a large roof terrace that offers magnificent sea views. This bedroom also has modern en-suite facilities with bath and shower.
Outdoor space
Outside is a large private, infinity-edged pool and furnished terrace, ideal for entertaining. Ample sun loungers and parasols are provided for guests and there is also a poolside shower and rattan cushioned seating area from which to relax and take in the mesmerising views over the bay. A shaded al-fresco dining area is provided together with a BBQ.

Local area
The Kışla area is a peaceful residential enclave on the eastern side of the bay, situated just beyond Komurluk. Kisla is known for its spectacular, front-row views of the Kalkan sunset. Positioned along the hillside, the area looks directly across the water toward the harbour and the Old Town, which provides a beautiful backdrop at dusk as the town lights up against the mountainside. The area has a relaxed atmosphere and is home to several of Kalkan's established beach clubs. While the walk into the town centre takes around 20 to 35 minutes along sloping coastal roads, a number of beach clubs operate a water taxi service regularly during the day for patrons, providing a direct connection from the Kışla beach clubs across the bay to the main harbour.

Kalkan is a charming harbour town on Turkey's Turquoise Coast, known for its rooftop restaurants, historic old town streets and relaxed Mediterranean pace. The town offers a wide choice of beach clubs, waterside dining and easy access to nearby bays and beaches.
Getting to the villa
The villa is a few minutes' walk from Mahal Beach Club. The beach club operates a water taxi service during the day to and from Kalkan harbour for beach club customers, or you can do the walk in around 15 to 20 minutes or so.
Dalaman Airport is the nearest airport for Kalkan - around 90 minutes away by car. We can arrange your private airport transfers or car hire if preferred for added flexibility during your stay.

out points to me are location, style and views. The villa is a few

watch some fantastic sunsets from here. The villa has a unique and
carefully thought out interior and exterior design which provides a

so close to the water allows guests to enjoy views out to sea and
across Kalkan's Bay. There is also no need to fight over the
bedrooms when each benefits from a sea view balcony or

Had a fantastic 5 days here in the villa.
Both a perfect base for discovering and a place to
rest.
So many places to eat in the town, we liked Panorama, Coast,
Doy Doy, Mahal and the village restaurant Pirha Köy Sofrası - go
for breakfast.
Jet ski highlight was the jumping swordfish.
All in all a very rewarding time.

We have had a wonderful week here, enjoying the space, the view and the attention to detail. All of the service staff were excellent!
It was rather special for us as our daughter got engaged and had a beautiful ring made at Yardan.
Our favourite restaurants were Korsan Fish Meze with a fantastic saxophonist/singer, mey who brought our daughter and her fiancé complimentary cocktails and fireworks, then Antioch with some different starters and friendly staff.
This is our 18th year and best villa by far!

Another glorious break in Kalkan. Heading back to reality feeling super relaxed and recharged (if a little heavier!).
Highlights have to be our lovely private boat trip on Caretta 2. Stand out meal (by a mile) was Mina Art Café - Persian perfection (booking it now!).
The villa has been an exceptional base with exceptional help on hand - thanks to Ridvan, and Yusuf the taxi man - both fabulous.
